The Role

Main duties and responsibilities
As a Manager you will be responsible for helping to build Kearney’s practices in the UK. You will be expected to lead various phases of a consulting engagement, from pre-proposal research through to delivery. Almost immediately, you will be responsible for project teams and will also be leading business development work. Throughout your development you will further benefit from comprehensive feedback from your project team and your mentor. You will:

The successful candidates will be tasked with the following:
• Be responsible for initiating and leading business development in certain areas and leading the production of proposals to prospective clients including developing business plans
• Able to lead consulting engagements, including:
o Building strong trust and credibility with clients at senior levels
o High personal impact and ability to convey complex concepts to senior leaders
o Managing resources to meet deliverables and budget targets
o Structuring and managing research and analysis
o Managing conflicts and facilitating change in client organisations
o Preparing written reports
o Preparing and delivering presentations and workshops
• Recognised internally as an industry expert in your specific area of expertise.
• Responsible for training client teams in correct methodologies and techniques to allow them to expand their in-house expertise
• Proactive firm-building e.g. intellectual capital creation, recruiting, conferences, executive briefings.
• Operate globally so travel is required

Experience, Skills and Education
• A proven record of academic excellence;
• Proven expertise and a recognized leader in your Practice space;
• Experience in a rigorous environment, such as a global or Fortune 500 company or consulting firm
• High personal impact and ability simply to convey complex concepts to senior leaders
• A collegial and collaborative approach to project delivery; experienced in establishing, managing and developing analytics teams across countries
• Experienced in coaching, mentoring, and helping others grow professionally
• Ability to prioritise efforts and actions
• Ability to leverage own strengths in delivering projects
• Ability to leverage the strengths of the team
• Superior communication skills at all levels
• Self-directed with excellent initiative.
