Summary


An opportunity has arisen within the Corporate Financial Management for a Band 3 Corporate Accountancy Assistant. We are looking for an ambitious candidate who wants to be part of a dynamic finance team supporting the Research and Education departments.

Reporting to the Deputy R&I/Coorporate Divisional Finance Manager, the post holder will work with budget holders to enable them to effectively manage their services and to ensure the Trust meets its financial objectives, providing accurate and timely financial information. The post holder will work closely with other finance colleagues to help the Trust achieve its corporate finance agenda.

Ideally candidates will have knowledge of the NHS financial regime. They will need experience of working in a complex financial environment and able to demonstrate good analytical and communication skills with the ability to convey complex financial issues to non-finance managers.

Candidates must be educated to GCSE in both English and Mathematics and Ideally will be studying towards a minimum of NVQ level 3 in finance - have or be studying towards (AAT part-qualified).

The post is based at City Campus, working full time but may require travelling to other sites and occasionally off-site.
