As a team of architects, designers, engineers, craftsmen and technicians, we create original lighting designs for both commercial and residential complexes from scratch and from our archive.

The Role

PSLab Ltd UK is looking to hire for their London based unit a Business Development Manager. The candidate is expected to ensure a successful integration of PSLab in the UK market and to manage PSLab UK regional key accounts especially in France and in the Middle East region.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the following duties and responsibilities, but not limited to:

• Successful integration of PSLab in the UK market.
• Manage PSLab UK regional key accounts especially in the United Kingdom, France and in the Middle East region.
• Develop and implement an appropriate sales strategy to meet agreed new business revenue and sales targets.
• Identify rising business opportunities and build long-term relationships with prospects.
• Compile and analyse sales figures in order to produce reports and recommendations relating to marketing and sales strategies.
• Recruit and train junior members of staff.
• Discusses employer’s or client’s requirements, carries out surveys and analyses customers’ reactions to product, packaging, price, etc..
• Compiles and analyses sales figures, prepares proposals for marketing campaigns and promotional activities and undertakes market research.
• Produces reports and recommendations concerning marketing and sales strategies for senior management.
• Maintains good understanding of Lighting Design and Architectural Lighting Products, as well as latest developments in the industry.

Skills, qualifications and experience needed

The successful candidate must have extensive, demonstrable experience of undertaking the above duties in a similar role, and must meet the following requirements:

• The candidate must have strong leadership and organisational skills;
• Minimum 5 years’ progressive managerial experience with one of the major brands in the architectural lighting industry;
• Strong know-how of Lighting Design;
• Solid understanding of Architectural Lighting Products, ability to read and evaluate spec sheets;
• Thorough understanding of construction site needs in terms of lighting, lighting points, circuiting, fixing details light control etc.;
• Know-how and previous experience of PSLab Culture & products is a plus;
• Previous experience managing key accounts in the Middle East market;
• Experience in managing sales targets and ability to negotiate;
• Business development, and cold calling experience;
• Ability to deliver continuous development, build strong teams and lead projects;
• Excellent customer service focus, attitude and skills;
• Excellent verbal, written communication and reporting skills, and must be fluent in English;
• Additional languages are advantage, such as Arabic and French as will also be required to liaise with stakeholders in France and in the Middle East;
• Computer literate – skilled with use of Microsoft Office package (Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook);
• Must be educated to a degree level (Bachelor’s degree), and Master’s degree is an advantage;
