We’ll also look to you to oversee the quality of work, making sure that it meets the technical standards for all services output.

You’ll also:

The skills you'll need

You’ll need a background in software engineering, software design or database design and architecture, as well as experience of developing software in a SOA or micro-services paradigm. You should also have development experience in a programming language, experience of using industry recognised frameworks and development tooling, and a background of implementing programming best practice, especially around scalability, availability and performance. And, we'll be looking for you to have PL or SQL experience, Oracle is preferred, but we'll consider experience in other relational databases.

It would also be an advantage if you have experience of using modern web development technologies including HTML5, CSS3 and JavaScript, and Java 8 plus frameworks such as Spring Boot or MVC, AngularJS or ReactJS. • Experience in using CI/CD toolsets for code development in build, test and deployment
