Summary

After School Club Coaches Wanted: £15-£25 per hour.
Sports/Fencing/Dance/Gymnastics/Martial Arts/Multi-Sports.

Qualified and experienced coach wanted to run after school clubs in local Primary Schools for 4-12 years old from 3.15pm to 4.30pm Monday to Friday. Pay is between £15-£25ph depending on qualifications and experience. You may also be offered work from 8am-4pm. We also provide breakfast clubs, lunch clubs, after school clubs, PE lessons, and Holiday Play-Schemes for children.

Job description:
Sporting Dreams was set up in 1999 and we provide Primary Schools throughout the UK with Sports Coaches, Dance Teachers, Gymnastics Teachers, Martial Arts, Boxing and Fitness Instructors.

Job Overview:
• Job Title: After school club coach
• 3.15pm-4.30pm - Monday to Friday
•Pay: Level 1 coach £10ph. Level 2 coach £15-£25ph. Level 3 coach £20-£30ph
• Location: Local Primary Schools.
• What type of coach are we looking for: Anyone who loves coaching any sport or exercise classes. Get in touch and tell us what activity you can offer and if we think we can work together, we will organize a club in one of our local primary schools for you for 10 weeks. We then organize other clubs for you at different schools on the other days you are available. If you can only do one or two clubs per week that’s also fine, just let us know the days you can do. Most importantly we need staff who are reliable.

What MUST I have for this job?
• You must be a qualified, minimum level 1 National Governing Body qualification or equivalent.
• You must have coaching experience with children aged 4-12yrs old.
• Have access to a car, as you will need to take equipment and travel various schools. Ideally it's beneficial for you to have a car but as long as you can get to the school on time and take all of the equipment with you which we provide, then that's fine with us.
• You must have a DBS dated within the past 3years. Applicants can apply for a New DBS through Sporting Dreams. The cost is met by the applicant.
• You must be confident, reliable, punctual, respectful, professional, have excellent customer care relations.
• You must have excellent child behaviour management skills and able to control 20-30children.
• You must commit to a minimum 10 weeks.

What Sports/Activities do we offer:
We have started a variety of new sports coaching programs for schools and we need competent staff to help deliver them. Even if you haven’t taught these before, as long as you are a qualified coach/teacher then we will provide you with all the training and of how to coach them to the children.

Our Programs Include:
• Kidditch (Quidditch for kids, a mixture of handball, dodgeball and tag-rugby combined)
• Fitfence (fencing for children)
• Robin Arrows (Mini-Archery)
• KurlingKIDS (New Age Kurling for kids)
• Dancing Dreams (Street Dance/Zumba/Musical theatre)
• Soccer Dreams (Professional football coaching)
• Multi-Sports Skills Clubs
• Plus other sports (Dodgeball, Cricket, Basketball, Netball, Golf, Badminton, Olympics, Tennis, Tag-rugby, Hockey, American football, Boxing, Martial Arts plus many more).

Future opportunities:
• Further training/qualifications in other sports/activities.
• Franchise opportunities.
• Other work may include Breakfast clubs 8am-9am. PE lessons 9am-3pm, Lunchtime clubs 12pm-1pm.

Other information:
Being an after school club coach/teacher isn’t easy. You have to plan your lessons, be reliable, punctual, well organised, and give the children an amazing sporting experience. Sometimes if things aren’t going to plan then have the confidence to change it to match the children’s interests/abilities/attitudes and behaviours. But most importantly it’s about looking after the children’s safety and creating a fun learning environment through the activities you organize.

Most of the time your lessons will be the children’s first experience trying out a new sport. Your job will be to make it fun and exciting and to keep all children active and engaged at least 90% of the lesson.
