Summary

Grove Social Care: We are an agency that provides temporary trained workers to companies within the care sector. These are companies who provide care, support and accommodation to challenging children and young persons within the care sector.

Pay: £9.25 per hour a day plus £8.30 per hour for sleep in. (usually between 2300-0800 hours). Earn up to £213 a day.
Working hours: We endeavour to find you temporary and permanent; full-time and part-time work. The hours vary, usually starting at 0900 and finishing at 0900 the next day whereby you will be required to sleep in from 2300 hours to 0800 hours.

Role main duties:
- Supporting young people, sometimes on a 1:1 basis, aged 11 to 18, through difficult times who may present challenging behaviour or complex needs.
- Your duties will also include acting as a good role model to advise, assist and promote their development.
- You will help develop general life skills, encourage young people to make their own informed decisions, you will lead by example, promote general housekeeping, and a healthy lifestyle.
- You will help them access a full range of services in the community, including healthcare, employment, education and benefits.
- There may be times when you help them make the transition from a supported living environment into full independence.

Expectations:
Although previous experience is desirable, attitude and motivation are key. Experience not necessary as we offer comprehensive training.

You must be a good listener, enthusiastic, resilient, non-judgemental, caring, supportive with a willingness to learn and develop yourself.
