Job Title and Grade: Occupational Therapist/Social Worker Band 6

The Role:

We have long term placement opportunities available for a Band 6 Occupational Therapist or Social Worker at GMMH specifically providing the following:

  • Demonstrable post registration clinical experience.

  • The post holder will work proactively as a senior member of a multidisciplinary team on the acute inpatient wards for clients with complex mental and physical health needs providing an Occupational Therapy service.

  • Knowledge of requirements under the Care Programme Approach.

  • Advocate for clients where necessary within clinical practice in line with code of ethics and professional conduct for occupational therapists

  • Take responsibility for own learning and development by recognising and taking advantage of all opportunities to learn in line with NHS core competencies, including full participation in appraisal and supervision, and acting as role model for self-development
