We are seeking an experienced Applied Health researcher to work with the team led by Prof Wiseman (Strategic Lead for Applied Health Research) to ensure that the major research studies within the Applied Health Research Unit are undertaken in a timely manner. Liaising closely with the Principle Investigator of the research, they will work with the multidisciplinary team, the patients, their families and the hospital and academic staff who participate in the research being undertaken.
The Applied Health Researcher will be responsible for the recruitment, education and monitoring of patients, or staff, entering research studies. The successful candidate will manage research projects and work independently. A working knowledge of research design and an awareness of current issues in healthcare research with respect to design, governance and ethics as well as clinical and theory development is essential. The Applied Health Researcher will share research findings locally, nationally and internationally through teaching and publication, and will foster links between hospital units, and with other hospitals and academic institutions.
