We are looking for hard working, flexible staff to work internal rotational shifts (day and night duty) that have an interest and/or passion for trauma & orthopaedic nursing.
Successful applicants will be required to attend the Trusts week long induction programme to help you gain the necessary skills and ensure you are aware of the trusts CARE values. Following this trust wide induction you will receive up to 2 weeks supernumerary time on the ward to learn how we put these skills into practice. Those successful applicants who do not hold a diploma Level II or above in Health and Social Care or a relevant qualification or hold a Diploma or Degree will be required to undertake an apprenticeship supported in house to gain the required qualification for a Healthcare Support Worker. There will also be opportunities to undertake additional responsibilities on the ward and to progress further such as undertaking a Foundation Nursing or Associate Nurse degree.
Previous experience of working in a health care setting would be an advantage but not essential. Informal visits are strongly encouraged prior to interview. Please contact the ward to arrange an informal visit to meet us and look round.

HHFT is offering a trainee Healthcare Support Worker Apprenticeship
As an eligible trainee HCSW we invite you to join our dynamic healthcare team where you will complete thefully-funded HHFT Level 3 Senior Healthcare Support Worker Apprenticeship, gain a national qualification and upon completion, be offered a permanent substantive post!
The Apprenticeship salary will be:
£17,652 pa (AFC Band 2)paid as follows:
£16,054 pa pro rata (National Living Wage)
Plus 3 x reward payments:
1 x £799 upon Care Certificate completion (3-6 months)
1 x £799 upon reaching the gateway to End Point Assessment (12 months)
1 x £799 (pro rata) upon completion of NVQ Level 3 apprenticeship
This will total £17,652 (Band 2) pa pro rata over the length of your apprenticeship
*Pay reviewed and adjusted on 1-April to reflect increase with the National Living Wage and NHS AFC salary pay point
The duration of the apprenticeship will be 15-18 months. This a fantastic opportunity to get into healthcare, earn while you learn, and should you aspire to, progress your career towards a Nurse Associate or Nurse role.
