About the role
The clinical lead role will be a split role incorporating a leadership role for our South Tyneside and Darlington services and an APP clinical caseload. You will demonstrate a sound understanding of the clinical competencies required of the clinical staff within the MSK pathway as well as an ability to lead and effectively implement frameworks and services to meet the evolving requirements of the service and patients. You will also maintain an APP or FCP clinical caseload within our MSK services in the North East. This could be within South Tyneside, Northumberland or Darlington and can be agreed to suit the candidate as well as the services.
You will be proactive, highly self-motivated and achievement orientated. An inspirational leader who will engage and motivate and develop our clinical teams in the North East in achieving clinical excellence. You will be resilient in terms of remaining focused in picking up challenges of an ever-changing NHS landscape.
You’ll work as a self-sufficient APP practitioner and deliver a quality clinical service meeting the clinical and commercial needs of the service.
Whilst undertaking comprehensive assessment and diagnosis of patients with a wide variety of physical and emotional needs, you will formulate, deliver, review and progress individual programmes and ensure effective treatment, specialist advice and timely discharge is achieved.
Developing and promoting a positive and dynamic image and culture, you will be key in fostering productive relationships with key stakeholders such as local Consultants and GP’s and provide support and training to other clinical staff and students.
You’ll be a people manager with a track record of delivering results in a field-based role, particularly in a healthcare/NHS related role. You’ll be an excellent communicator and an assertive decision maker who is passionate about delivering and maintaining high standards of clinical care and service delivery.
