Care home manager with extensive Residential Home experience looking for a new challenge with a leading provider in the West Linton area?
St Philips Care are looking for a dedicated, caring and experienced Care-Residential Home Manager to help us deliver the excellent service that has won us awards including 'The most outstanding Care Group in the UK' and ‘The most improved Dementia Care Group in the UK’.

Whim Hall is located near West Linton and Peebles. EH18 1AH
Whim Hall is an 18th Century Manor House that was built by the Duke of Argyll and, is set amidst 20 acres of striking country woodland in the Scottish Borders near Peebles.
The Care Home has 2 separate units. Tweed Unit is purpose built and meets the needs of 22 frail elderly residents with Dementia and Whim has 15 residents with a focus on mental health enablement,
This historic setting has been specially adapted to provide dedicated specialist care which is delivered to a high standard. The staff at Whim Hall are committed to delivering care which is tailored to each individual residents needs and, because we actively meet the individual needs of each of our residents they are able to exercise choice in determining the pattern of their lives.
• Experienced Home Manager - Or Manager with experience within an elderly and mental health setting.
• SSSC knowledge and experience of dealing with regulatory compliance.

As a Care Home manager, you'll be responsible for all aspects of the day-to-day operations within the care setting, including recruiting and managing staff teams, managing budgets and ensuring that the highest quality of services are provided at all times.
The successful candidate will deliver business performance and quality targets for Whim Hall Care Centre.
You will provide leadership to the Care Home staff, implementing a culture of customer focus and quality of service whilst establishing and maintaining relationships with key internal stakeholders.
Prior experience at a senior/management level within an elderly care environment / dementia or mental health is essential.
Minimum level 4 in Health and Social Care Broad experience of managing people, service and quality to achieve performance targets.
Understanding of commercial principles and practices Good organisational skills, and ability to work on own initiative. Ability to communicate effectively at all levels. Proficient computer skills in word processing, database use and spreadsheet applications.
Must be proficient in Marketing a home and building lasting relationships in the local community
Desirable Personal Attributes
Excellent communication skills and a good team player. SVQ 5 desirable. A strong sense of responsibility. Ability to work on own initiative. Ability to prioritise tasks. Background knowledge of Scottish Mental Health Services.
