Are you a Midwife with experience working as a Senior Matron or Deputy Head of Midwifery? Are you looking for the next step in your career? Are you committed to the continuous development and improvement of Women's and Children's services?
If you have answered yes to all of these then please call and discuss what could be a fabulous next step in your career.
An exciting opportunity has arisen to work within a newly defined structure at University Hospital Plymouth.
Working within the Women's and Children's Care Group, the Head of Midwifery and Women's and Children's Nursing is a newly defined post to support the operational delivery of services within this exciting and dynamic area of healthcare.
You will lead operationally on a complex agenda across all Service Lines within the Women's and Children's Care Group; ensuring the delivery of the key quality, performance and safety agendas supporting the trusts strategic direction. You will be responsible for operationally leading services reflective of existing and new national guidance.
It would be advantageous, but not essential, to already have experience of other services under the wider Women's and Children's portfolio.
Your peers would be the Head of Nursing for Surgery and the Head of Nursing for Medicine; you would work cohesively with them to support the Senior Nursing Team in ensuring an organisation already rated Outstanding for Caring by the CQC continues to develop and demonstrate continuous improvement.
Accountable to the Assoc Chief Nurse/ Director of Maternity Services, you would be supported in transitioning into the post, at an agreed time indicative of previous experience becoming the point of contact for all operational nursing and midwifery issues within the Women's and Children's Care Group, and acting up for the ACNO in her absence.
The closing date of this vacancy is the 1 December 2019 with interviews planned for the 10 December 2019.
For an informal discussion, please email Sam Stocker (Samuel.email@example.com) to arrange a mutually agreeable time to discuss this opportunity with Sue Wilkins, Assoc Chief Nurse.
