Summary

Nuffield Health, one of the UK’s leading healthcare organisations, is currently seeking to recruit Bank Theatre Practitioners to join the team in our busy Theatre Department.

As a registered practitioner with demonstrable Theatre scrub experience you will deliver high quality clinical patient care through assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of care. Experience in orthopaedics would be desirable.

Your duties will include supervising and supporting some staff in the delivery of care, and providing education, training and mentorship to meet development needs. With appropriate training and support, you will take charge of a shift without direct supervision, and undertake clinical responsibility for senior staff when they are absent.

You will administer medicines in accordance with NMC guidelines, Nuffield policies and procedures. You will also be registered with the appropriate governing body and have qualifications applicable to the registration requirements with experience gained through formal training.

The role requires proactively identifying the need and expectations of customers and striving to meet these. You will ensure your own work meets the required standards, encourage the same in others and identify improvement opportunities.

Please note: As a Bank Worker you would be part of a pool of casual workers who would be called upon when required to provide cover during periods of sickness, holidays or increased workload. You would not be classified as a permanent employee and would therefore have no entitlement to guaranteed or continuous employment.

Nuffield Health is Britain’s largest and most pioneering healthcare charity, integrating fitness and well-being, prevention and cure. We’ve brought together our hospitals, clinics, fitness & wellbeing centres as well as our diagnostic units into one holistic healthcare service provided from over 200 locations. A not-for-profit organisation, we reinvest every penny we make into helping the people of Britain to lead healthier, happier lives. In today’s healthcare market, we’re in an enviably strong position.
