We are seeking an experienced Appointments Coordinator to work within our busy appointment offices within Radiology at the Churchill Hospital, Oxford.
The candidate will provide an effective, efficient and confidential support to our appointment Lead, Administrative team, Radiologists, Radiographers and the Administration Manager. The post involves working in a highly trained team coordinating and booking appointments via the telephone and letter.
Knowledge of the Trust's Electronic Patient Record System (EPR) and radiology software CRIS would be an advantage but not essential as training will be given. Good administration skills are essential.
You will have a flexible approach and have the ability to work proactively and at times using your own initiative whilst possessing a confident and professional manner. This position requires the demonstration of strong organisational skills and the ability to work on your own initiative as well as being a team member. You will also have excellent communication and interpersonal skills alongside excellent administration skills, including good knowledge of Microsoft applications, such as Word and Excel.
Responsibilities will include undertaking booking of patient appointments in support of the administration team, managing an effective booking system and ensuring lists are booked to their full capacity.
You will work in a busy patient centered department as part of an Administration and Clerical team with good peer group support with appropriate training provided as necessary. Commitment to an evening and weekend service is required.
