Assembly & Test Technician
Based in South Aberdeen
Hourly rate £13.00 - £15.00 dependent on experience

A successful and well-established hydraulic engineering firm is currently looking to recruit an Assembly & Test Technician at their workshop in the south of Aberdeen City. This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled engineer, ideally with mechanical and hydraulic expertise, to join a forward-thinking business specialising in the design and production of high-quality hydraulic equipment and handling machinery solutions for sectors including Oil & Gas and Whisky.

The Role
Reporting to Works Management, you would be responsible for building and testing a range of complex hydraulic assemblies from engineering drawings. Responsibilities to include…
o Testing hydraulic systems, cylinders and valves in accordance with relevant customer, design and quality procedures
o Complying fully and satisfying customer expectations to the stated specifications
o Meeting turnaround time and output targets by adopting a flexible approach to your work.
o Applying appropriate quality assurance techniques, test procedures and working to H&S standards and regulations

This is a full-time role, Monday to Friday, hours 07:15 - 15:45 with overtime available and benefits including company pension, life insurance cover and healthshield plan.

The Candidate
o Significant experience assembling and testing hydraulic equipment
o Experience of high precision assembly and self-certification
o Ability to read and understand engineering drawings / specifications
o Self-motivated, flexible with working patterns but punctual & reliable and able to manage time in accordance with meeting customer deadlines/deliveries
o Stable career history, looking for a long-term permanent role with potential possibilities for promotion.
