Postdoctoral Research Officer

Salary: £33,797 (Grade 7) p.a.

Applications are invited for the above fixed term, full-time post working in the School of Natural Sciences.

The individual recruited to this post will be a high calibre post-doctoral research scientist with a broad skills base for research study design, set-up, implementation, data analysis / interpretation and reporting. These individuals will have expertise that fits into the main research themes of the CALIN Operation, including: precision medicines (diagnostics, sensors & therapeutics), regenerative nanomedicine and biocompatibility evaluation. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting all feasibility and medium-term research activities and will also be involved in the delivery of network conferences and technology workshop events.

The post holder will have a PhD in a life science related subject.
The project has been part-funded by the European Regional Development Fund through the Ireland Wales Cooperation programme.

The successful candidate will be expected to commence 01 January 2020 or as soon as possible and the post is available until 31/10/2020.

The ability to communicate in Welsh is desirable for this post.
