A Secondary School in Wigan are seeking a Design and Technology Teacher to start in January 2020 long term

Here at Hays Education we work with a number of Secondary schools across Wigan and the surrounding area who we partner with on an exclusive basis. Hays have recently been approached by one of these schools seeking a Design and Technology Teacher specialising in resistant materials and electronics. The role is due to start in January 2020 and continue on a long term basis. The school is centrally located therefore easily accessible from all areas of the North West.
Your new role
Starting the role in January 2020 this is a great opportunity to share your knowledge and expertise as you will be responsible for teaching the current design technology curriculum across KS3 and KS4 including GCSE students. As the role is long term, you will be required to complete all planning and preparation of lessons whilst differentiating in pupil ability and then completing the marking and assessment of pupils work.
What you'll need to succeed
In order to be successful you must possess QTS/QTLS or be a Newly Qualified Teacher (NQT) and have experience with teaching in the UK Curriculum up to KS4. You will have good differentiation skills and be able to spark interest among your pupils creating a positive learning environment. You will be available to start in January 2020 and able to commit on a long term basis.
