Summary

About us:
Working in the Department of Engineering Design and Mathematics comprising of a range of practice-led academic programmes, this post is a permanent appointment teaching and supporting students on the Aerospace Engineering programmes. You will be joining a growing and ambitious department that values the integration of research and practice-led materials within teaching and learning very highly. Thus, the successful applicant will be expected to undertake design and delivery of teaching that is engaging, innovative and responsive, achieving outstanding student learning outcomes. The successful applicant will also actively engage in high quality research, scholarly and/or practice activity that informs, extends and transforms their subject area and informs teaching.


About you:
The successful applicant will have a PhD in Avionics, Aircraft Systems, Control or a related discipline. If from a professional practice/industry background, the successful applicant will have a qualification equivalent to degree level (or above) together with relevant professional experience within the Aerospace Sector. A teaching qualification and experience of teaching in higher education is desirable. Experience of working in or collaborating with relevant industry is desirable and there will be opportunities to work with industry on knowledge exchange projects.
