Summary

Are you an experienced Health & Safety and Facilities Manager looking for a new opportunity and challenge? What are we looking for? You will have experience in a similar role experienced in both Health & Safety and Facilities with your NEBOSH certificate; you will be thorough and methodical with excellent communication skills. You will have experience of managing a team of up to 10 including housekeeping and security as well as managing large scale projects.

Your key responsibilities will be leading Company Health and Safety and ensuring the upkeep of grounds and premises to the highest standards possible in addition but not limited to;

Promote a positive Health & Safety culture, making recommendations for areas of improvement and implement change
Create and implement a comprehensive facilities management strategy and Health & Safety strategy as well as all associated policies
Ensuring the overall department provides an effective and efficient facilities help desk service meeting the needs of all stakeholders
Responsible for ensuring the department manages the company fleet ensuring optimal value for money
Continually improve departmental rapport with all stakeholders, with specific focus provided to all departments ensuring that no area is omitted
Ensure that the department proactively drives value of services and cost reductions ensuring the Facilities and Health & Safety budgets are managed effectively
Ensuring all third party contractors are managed and are providing the value required
Developing and implementing environmental and sustainable policies, such as Health & Safety Standards
Monitoring and aim to reduce our overall carbon footprint to ensure we are compliant with Streamlined Energy and Carbon Reporting (SECR) regulations
Manage direct reports to ensure high performance is achieved and ensuring our core values are followed
Provide leadership for the function, ensuring that our core values are at the heart of everything the department does
What we’re looking for

Extensive knowledge of Health & Safety standards, ideally working within the ISO45001 framework
Relevant H&S qualifications (NEBOSH)
Demonstrable experience in a best practice role within a corporate environment
Experience of SECR and ESOS2
Naturally driven to create a positive working culture and demonstrable experience of implementing change
Extensive knowledge of building maintenance, facilities management and environmental standards
Leading managing and developing a team
Proven skills in negotiation and communication to a wide range of stakeholders at all levels within the organisation
Experience of successfully managing and implementing project works
Experience of making and suggesting improvements
