Job Title – Health Care Assistant
Base – Berkeley House, Stroud
Salary – £17,652 - £19,020 per annum
Hours per week – 37.5
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a determined and flexible person to join our multi-disciplinary team working with people with a learning disability.
Berkeley House is a seven bedded assessment and treatment unit located in Stroud that currently supports individuals who have a learning disability and who exhibit behaviours that challenge.
We are looking for an individual to join our team who is keen to make a difference to people’s quality of life, who is flexible and who wants to have the chance to expand their knowledge of supporting very individual people. This includes expanding people’s skills, quality of life and community presence.
We offer the opportunity to progress your skills and knowledge by supporting you complete the Care Certificate as well as giving the opportunity to work closely with a multi-disciplinary team of experienced professionals. You will receive direct supervision and partake in reflective practice / training on a regular basis and be required to meet the Care Certificate standards.

As a Health Care Assistant/ Support Worker you will be responsible for participating and assisting in the delivery of care / services to patients and service users as part of a Mental Health and Social Care Health Service. Health Care Assistant, Social Care Workers and other Healthcare Support Workers employed by the Trust are required to follow the guidance set out in Code of Conduct for Health Care Assistants/ Health Care Support Workers to provide safe and compassionate care of a high standard, and to challenge others who are not. You will receive direct supervision and partake in reflective practice / training on a regular basis and be required to meet the Care Certificate standards.
