Role Purpose:
We are now recruiting a Supply Chain Design Expert to work in our Global Operations Centre in Didsbury.
The purpose of the role is to deliver global supply chain design projects applying supply chain design methodology and external best practice and latest thinking to meet the evolving market needs and to create business value.
As an expert , you will work closely together with all relevant functions to design innovative supply chain solutions, providing supply chain design expertise to key change initiatives cross-functionally
The team are commited to building and continually improving supply chain design competencies within Syngenta: facilitating operational excellence and drive standard ways of working.

• Apply supply chain design methodology to develop leading edge supply chain designs
• Project and program manage regional and global supply chain (re)design projects
• Work with various global, regional and territory functions (asset management, finance, regulatory, engineering, supply, etc.) to develop supply chain designs for Crop Protection, and integrated offers
• Proactively represent supply chain design activities and requirements at all levels and across all functions to promote cross functional working
• Follow supply chain design discussions outside the company and seek out for possible solutions and ideas from other companies or industries
• Support the CoE team in leading edge (external) supply chain design thinking and introduce it to Syngenta
• Facilitate knowledge transfer and SCD methodology / best practice take over from other functions

You will be a great fit with:
• Profound supply chain design expertise and understanding of end-to-end supply chain network design and optimisation
• Project and program management
• Financial knowledge to build business cases
• Knowledge of operations management, Logistics and Supply Planning
• Change management
• Commercial knowledge is an advantage
• Workshop facilitation, catalyst skill
• Successful delivery of complex supply chain design projects in cross-functional teams in international matrix organisation
• Experience in supply chain modelling and advanced analytics is an advantage
• Analytical and strategic thinker

• Extensive experience in supply chain design or supply operations
• Master degree in Supply Chain Management and / or Business Administration or other equivalent qualification advantageous but not neccessary
