Summary

We are a Leading IT Services Company with 22 offices in 6 countries Globally and able to collaborate and provide effective IT solutions to our Customers.


OBJECTIVE
Currently, our London centre requires a senior UX/Product design practitioner with interest in Service Design and design strategy. We are looking for a seasoned, hands-on practitioner, with a can-do attitude and managerial skills. You will lead the London design team and represent the XD practice during engagements with our EMEA clients and internally across Ness. Your focus will be on people (clients, users/customers, team and colleagues) and our process which you will support and advocate, but simultaneously continually try to fine tune. You will work together with the practice Programme Director to create proposals, plan and manage projects and initiatives. Aside from the main task of leading Experience Design engagements with customers you will have a focus on managing an eclectic team of designers, helping them grow and building the practice by making the offering stronger and more attractive to Ness prospects.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Your focus will be split in three areas, as follows:
● Prospects:
○ Help with pre-sales material to support prospect initiatives.
○ Support sales with during informal sessions with prospects to demonstrate expertise and credibility.
○ Plan, estimate and contribute to proposals together with the Program Director.
○ Lead pitches and product Challenge briefs and opinions, create requirements, don’t follow assumptions.
● Projects:
○ Lead client engagement from design expertise and team leadership perspective. Earn client trust. You will be the ‘go-to’ expert on user centered needs in all digital transformation conversations and consultations.
○ Bring diverse business views together by facilitating workshops and emphasising risks and opportunities contextually. Help your clients create business decisions with users in mind.
○ Work together with the design Program Director to ensure effective planning and delivery.
○ Lead the team by providing direction and ongoing support. Understand, interpret and orchestrate complex needs, channeling them into a clear direction.
○ Communicate complex ideas simply and clearly. See your work as enabling business decision making.
○ Provide project leadership, oversight and accountability through all stages of work. Provide direction to the team to extract the strategic insight from the vast research data to make business impact.
○ Collaborate with engineering teams during the sprint cycle to iterate solutions and resolve technical impediments while enhancing the overall experience.
○ Collaborate with Engineering and Product Management to ensure the best creative solutions are realized, implemented and delivered.
○ Evaluate project success and improvement from a design perspective.
● Team:
○ Be the team leader. Support them tactically on project and strategically in growing and advancing their careers. Their success will be yours and team’s collective success.
○ Help in identifying knowledge gaps and suggest ways to close them.
○ Help in the hiring process by writing JDs, screening and interviewing candidates, and establishing and reviewing tasks.
○ Act as a design advocate internally and externally.
○ Lead by example. Engage in the office life, support ideas and help shape opinions. This is who we are.
○ Own the process in projects and beyond. Advocate it internally and externally. Help bring it to the next stage. Provide training and support when and where required.
SKILLS
● Excellent communication skills, written and oral. Excellent presentation skills.
● Strong cognitive abilities and confidence to work in ambiguous situations.
● Punctuality and attention to detail.
● Design process, including UX and product design. Familiarity with Service Design. Ability to facilitate workshops.
● CX experience within multiple industries.
● Provide leadership in challenging situations through clarity, tact and diplomacy.
● Ability to identify and communicate the commercial impact of design decisions.
● Visual thinking, proof of concept, rapid prototyping, storyboarding and technical
skills. Ability to quickly turn around wireframes in an iterative environment.
● Proficiency in Sketch, Axure, Adobe CS, etc.


EXPERIENCE
● Lead designer with over 8 years work experience working for blue chip clients
as Lead/Senior UX designer, Lead/Senior Product designer, Lead UX architect, or a Service designer.
● Design processes, agile development and lean UX.
● Working collaboratively in an interdisciplinary team.
● Creating omnichannel experiences – cross-platform and cross-device solutions.
● Designing enterprise level, consumer grade digital services and products.
● Working to strict deadlines.
● Proven design track record.
