Buckshaw Retirement Village is a not for profit organisation dedicated to delivering high-quality, person-centred care to the individuals who we support.
We are currently looking for a Night Team Leader who will be responsible for running shifts and managing a team of support workers based at The Lodge.
The Lodge is our award-winning specialist Nursing with Care Home designed to support people living with dementia. Our innovative, self-contained market square is at the heart of The Lodge to support people to remain engaged and connected.

The Role-
As a Team Leader, you will be responsible for managing the care team to maintain the safe and effective delivery of person-centred care. You will also ensure that our residents remain engaged and connected by promoting access to our wide range of facilities and activities.
You will be working 42 hours a week covering 12-hour night shifts (7:30pm to 7:30am). You will need to be flexible to cover shifts on a rota basis working alternate weekends.

What we are looking for-
You should have previous experience working with people with dementia and an understanding of caring for those who may display behaviours that can challenge others. A level 2 care qualification is essential and experience of managing medication would also be beneficial.
You will need to demonstrate an understanding of care planning, risk assessments and relevant legislation. You should promote independence, person-centred care and treating others with dignity and respect at all times.
The ability to lead and motivate a team is essential and previous supervisory experience is advantageous. You should have good communication skills as well as being organised and able to manage and prioritise a varied workload.
