Buckshaw Retirement Village is a not for profit organisation dedicated to delivering high-quality, person-centred care to the individuals who we support.
We have an exciting opportunity for an innovative and caring to join us as an Activity Support Worker working 30 hours per week based at The Lodge.
The Lodge is our award-winning specialist Nursing with Care Home designed to support people living with dementia. Our innovative, self-contained market square is at the heart of The Lodge and hosts regular activities specially planned to support our residents to remain engaged and connected.

The Role-
As an Activity Support Worker, you will be a member of the care team whose key role is to support our residents to remain engaged and connected by helping them to access our wide range of facilities and activities. You will provide and assist with various activities designed to meet individual residents’ needs whilst promoting and encouraging their independence.
This position is for 30 hours per week to cover shifts on a rota basis including working alternate weekends.

What we are looking for-
You should have previous experience of planning and implementing activities and possess an understanding of delivering person-centred care and meeting individual social needs. You will also need to be organised and able to manage your own workload and to prioritise effectively.
You should be caring, compassionate and patient with the ability to treat others with dignity and respect. Good communication skills are a must, and you will need to be confident in presenting your innovative and imaginative ideas in order to enhance the activity program.
