This post involves assisting in the provision of comprehensive secretarial, administrative and technical back up within the team which covers the following areas : Criminal prosecution work, Licensing, Debt, Adult Social Care, Education, Housing and Employment. The workload is varied and challenging. The postholder will be expected to work with colleagues to ensure the overall team priorities for the day are achieved. The postholder will provide assistance in developing and supporting systems and processes that are Service-specific as well as providing specialist support to Fee Earners

1. To produce and format a range of documents, including letters, reports and presentations, ensuring that they are accurate and well presented, meeting specifications and deadlines
2. To handle a range of telephone and personal enquiries from both internal and external customers and contacts, providing a conclusive response or referring to others as appropriate
3. To manage a range of administrative tasks including but not limited to processing of creditor invoices, preparation of debtor invoices, handling and receipting of income, recording for budgetary purposes ensuring accuracy and timeliness
4. To maintain and update files and records using existing systems and processes ensuring accuracy and security of information
5. To provide support to lawyers in the production of bundles for court and attending courts and tribunals to take notes
6. To collect, process and input data relating to departmental records to systems and databases as required, ensuring accuracy and security including updating of the Service’s Webpages
7. To provide a range of specialist administrative, secretarial and technical support to meet the specific requirements and processes of Legal Services and specialist teams within the service, ensuring confidentiality at all times
8. To contribute as appropriate to the further development of systems and processes by identifying and then pursuing any opportunities for service improvement
9. To carry out any other duties as may be required from time to time, including flexible working in line with the requirements of the Service
