As the VP Media Technology, you’ll be responsible for identifying and designing the media technology strategy and delivering improvements for the end to end content supply chain within BBC Studios. This role is a key leadership role that requires the technical credibility, operational experience and strong stakeholder management skills to make recommendations to the business. Your role will be instrumental in delivering transformational change to an organisation that is driven by innovation and working with leading technology solutions.

Reporting to the EVP Global Operations , you’ll be able to implement appropriate processes so that the technical operation of content supply chain products, systems and services are supported and maintained. You’ll have capital and operational budget responsibilities and be the key contact for 3rd party relationships with vendors and partners.

Develop and define a content supply chain technical vision and strategy for BBC Studios systems and services

Provide guidance on content supply chain technological advances that BBC Studios can adopt to generate supply chain efficiencies and optimisation.

Responsible for translating project, user and product requirements into technical solutions that meet business requirements

Responsible to develop and advise on media asset unique numbering schema that BBC Studios can deploy.

Define and document technical standards for content supply chain as required e.g. file spec’s

Accountable for the successfully delivery of content supply chain media technology projects

Keep abreast of industry trends, competitor activity & performance and best practice, incorporating new ideas and establishing a high performance culture.

As our VP Media Technology, you will have extensive experience in leading the design and delivery of technical systems and infrastructure within complex media technology environment. You will have proven success as an effective decision maker and relationship builder. You will be deadline driven and demonstrate resilience to ensure the correct technical solution is selected with a full understanding of the costs, timescales and risk involved. You’ll have experience of writing and evaluating technical product specifications, proposals and reports. You will be a strong influencer with excellent negotiating skills.
