We have an exciting opportunity for a Band 7 Dementia Lead Nurse within Northumbria Trust. We are seeking an exceptionally motivated individual with a passion to deliver high quality, compassionate care for patients with dementia.

Your role will be instrumental in continuing to develop and deliver our plans moving forward and contribute positively to the Trusts dementia pathway and hospital accreditation for dementia care. Education and raising awareness for staff across all staff groups is also a key element of the role, providing both formal and informal training to all levels of staff within the trust.

The role is trust wide across all services and the successful applicant would need to be able to fulfil the travel requirements of the post.

The post holder will be working closely with the Director of Nursing, Matron for Mental Health Services for Older People, Clinical Lead, Senior Nurses, Managers and WardTeams to provide the best outcome and experience for patients and their carer’s.
