South West Kent Community Mental Health Team
The Adult Mental Health services for South West Kent are delivered by an integrated health and social care team. The team consists of 3 sub teams "pods". The subteams provide a service to a cluster of GP practices. There is subteam for Tunbridge-Wells, Tonbridger (this post) and Sevenoaks. Each subteam is similar in size and covers a similar size GP population. In the dividing into subteams we have taken into account case loads and referral rates and these are fairly even distributed between the pods.
Our community care area includes our rehabilitation services rated as ‘outstanding’ by the CQC in April 2017 and specialist teams such as ‘early intervention in psychosis and Learning Disability Services.
These are 10 PA posts however the Trust would welcome a discussion with individuals looking for a more flexible working pattern to support work-life balance.
Applicants must have full registration with the GMC including licence to practice.
The Trust has now moved to a position where MHA Section 12(2) Approval holders are expected to contribute to a middle-tier non-residential on call rota attracting an extra 1PA and 2% (of a 10 PA salary) pro-rata for part time. Specialty doctors who do not hold Section 12 (2) Approval are expected to work towards this and will be supported to do so.
The successful applicant will be required to have enhanced clearance from the Disclosure and Barring Service.
