Summary

Service Care Legal are currently looking for a Lawyer for a locum position based in London for a local authority. The role is within the field of Adult Social Care. Please see below further details about the position, and just let me know if you wish to be considered.

ROLE: Adult Social Care Lawyer
LOCATION:South London
RATE:DOE
CONTRACT:Part time, 14 hours per week, long term sickness leave

The Role
*To assist in planning, co-ordinating and undertaking the legal work in respect of the Councils Court of Protection and Adult Social Care
*Undertaking Court of Protection welfare work
*Advising on mental capacity, community care, deprivation of liberty safeguards, mental health and safeguarding
*To assist and advise more junior members of staff with the complex and varied caseloads

The Person
*A qualified Solicitor / Lawyer / Legal Executive with at least 2 years PQE
*Ideally worked in a similar position within a local government
*A thorough knowledge of the law relating to Court of Protection legal matters
