We are currently recruiting for an Activities Coordinator to join our team and to work within the Home to provide activity opportunities for our residents.
In conjunction with the senior team, you will be responsible for planning and running a programme of activities for the residents linked to assessed social needs identified in care plans.
You will also be responsible for maintaining and promoting activities that older people enjoy and find stimulating.
Your ability to design and facilitate group activities is essential.

The Homestead, opened in 2008, is a purpose-built property with state-of-the-art facilities designed to support individuals with residential and dementia care needs. The name dates back to the 1900s.
The accommodation is divided over three floors, each individually named with all 68 bedrooms having en suite bathrooms. There are a number of communal areas and quiet spaces for residents. Each floor has a separate dining area. There are assisted bathrooms on each floor. Additional facilities include a fully fitted kitchen from which residents have a choice of good wholesome foods, a laundry where staff ensure that personal clothing is laundered and returned to the resident within 24 hours, a hairdressing salon,a café and a large day area leading out into an enclosed therapeutic garden area. Residents at The Homestead also enjoy the use of a bar which has its very own jukebox and piano.
The Home Manager says, "MHA staff recognise that individual needs can change from day to day, particularly when working with individuals living with dementia. The ethos and structure at MHA ensures a flexible approach to care and the staff treat all residents with the dignity that they would wish for themselves and respect each person as a unique individual."
