Summary

Microlease plc, part of the Electro Rent Corporation is a global leader in the supply and management of electronic Test and Measurement equipment. This equipment is an important and high-cost element to companies working in sectors such as Telecommunications, Aerospace, Defence, Semiconductors and General Electronics.

Microlease rents and sells over 8,000 different product lines. Additionally, it provides a full management service for large users, with sophisticated on-line systems accessed through the web site.

Web sites are produced and maintained in 6 languages and 16 regional variations. Additionally, there is the creation and maintenance of other digital marketing, including landing pages for campaigns.

We are also in the process of a merger with another company which will require the transition of several different websites, including a previous brand into one single website in the future.

Developing and maintaining this is a critical success factor and an increasingly complex task. We need someone to support us on a contract basis to manage sites and drive enquiries.

We are looking for someone with B2B digital experience and especially PPC, with skills in Google Ad Management primarily and ideally also web content management and graphic design.

Strong communication skills, a strong attention to detail, ability to work to tight deadlines and experience managing an effective online presence are essential.

The person needs to be able to work with our IT team and external partners to deliver what is required. They need a basic understanding of relational databases and web technologies and high level understanding of HTML/CSS.

As well as PPC (Pay Per Click) activity, understanding of SEO (Search Engine Optimisation) across all markets, as well as developing business opportunities from social media tools, forums and new ways of accessing information, including mobile devices and tablets.

The objective is to increase enquiries from those searching for solutions on-line.

Role is within the Marketing department but working closely with IT/ external partners:

Manage PPC (multi-language, multi-division and multi-product campaigns)
Manage and update web content (6 Language versions, 16 regional versions)
Review websites for improvements, implement fixes, agree development plans.
Create static web content using HTML/CSS, either for new web pages or campaign landing pages. Drive SEO improvement across all language and division platforms.

Person:

A successful candidate must demonstrate the following competencies:

Capable of managing complex PPC campaigns.

Dynamic, proactive.

Experience of managing websites to create enquiries and on-line transactions.

Advantage - basic understanding of relational databases. Knowledge of data extraction from systems for web content and linkages.

Practical mind-set, business oriented, not driven by need to develop nice to haves over business needs.

Quick learner, self-starter who can apply skills quickly.

Strong communication skills.

Attention to detail.

Ability to work to tight deadlines.

Essential skills – HTML

Advantage – Web Technologies: .NET (Preferred), PHP, Classic ASP, Cold Fusion, J2EE, PERL…

Other skills – E-mail marketing software (ideally Pardot), Adobe Dreamweaver, Adobe Photoshop, Microsoft Office

Key Activities:

Track and maintain day to day PPC campaigns, ensuring ads are live, tracking links are working (landing pages etc.).

Create, edit, and upload web pages and information in a timely manner, testing and uploading.

Check and maintain sites on daily basis to ensure no problems exist. Ensure everything is working as planned on Microlease’s websites and digital platforms and enquiries and orders and being captured and transmitted. Liaise with IT for web maintenance, site security and checking.

Create content and use techniques that help SEO and develop strategies and activities to boost SEO in target areas.

Support to e-marketing programmes.

Develop integration and use of Social Media tools to increase awareness within target markets and generate enquiries.

Help with ideas to create more enquiries from Microlease’s on-line presence.

Tracking of web enquiries through the Sales teams and through the CRM system.
