Summary

We are a long established energy and utility consultancy providing services for commercial companies, housing providers, charities and local authorities. We employ the latest technology and bespoke software analysis systems to enable us to provide a top class service to our clients. We are embarking on the next step of our infrastructure strategy and are looking to recruit a Web Designer to join our dynamic IT team. This is a full time and permanent position.
The key purpose of this role is to create excellent looking browser-based user interfaces and UI web solutions from the requirement stage to deployment onto the production web farm. You will co-ordinate the website’s appearance to develop a visual identity.
Your main duties and responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
• Designing a website’s visual imagery in line with company branding policy, use of logo’s fonts and colour palettes
• Search engine optimisation
• Drawing up detailed website specifications to meet client needs
• Build the framework of the site and add command buttons , payment systems, video, sound or animation
• Ensure new site can be integrated into existing networks and databases
• Design suitable user access and security
• Prepare design plan showing site structure and links
• Edit content, debug codes and re-design of web pages
• Registering web domain names and organise hosting of website
• Design graphics, animations and manipulation of digital photography
• Ensure all legal requirements are met
• Post sales technical support and training
Our ideal candidate will
• Be degree educated
• Have several years of post graduate experience in a similar role
• Demonstrable experience of variety of web designs showing versatility
• Be skilled in the use of HTML5, CSS3, XML, Javascript, HTML, MySQL , ASP, Ajax and Jquery
