Purpose of role

To support our store teams globally by providing the best tools and processes to drive productivity, the right information and best practices in order to maximise efficiencies in all store operational areas, and to lead projects and identify opportunities that support the stores by providing the right KPI measurements to allow them to invest more valuable time with our customers.

Key accountabilities

  • Lead the Retail Productivity strategy and own deployment of initiatives, measures and action plans, partnering with markets to tailor & execute performance improvement.
  • Work alongside the Retail Operations Technical Support Specialist to develop tools and systems that are best in class and offer solutions to drive efficiency and productivity that can be executed and measured globally
  • Develop strong relationships across all company markets to understand retail operations commonalities and needs and facilitate and drive a collaborative approach
  • Drive market adoption of existing and new processes and systems, providing data intelligence where required and work with commercial to produce and share ROI
  • To be the voice of the store teams when influencing other areas of the business to ensure anything that is rolled out to stores is retail ready and all operational considerations are taken into account
  • To facilitate with other internal functions to build operational training packs and guides to ensure executional excellence at all times
  • Design, implement and maintain the global Retail Operations Manual with support from other key functions including HR, profit protection, Heath and Safely
  • Develop global store reporting requirements with markets and work with IT to drive efficiencies and leverage scale to reduce complexity
  • Manage the roll out of specific retail projects and trials into stores, and gather learnings and analyze data to make global recommendations
  • To identify, develop and continually evolve the store staff incentive program liaising with HR, Global Customer Experience team and Retail Operations in markets to build a fit for purpose approach which can be adopted and measured globally
  • Organise and facilitate global forums in partnership with Global Customer Experience, Global Comms and Retail Academy teams
  • Support Head of Retail Operations with retail projects & initiatives as required
  • Be the voice of the market and store teams within the Global team structure

Skills & experience

  • Excellent understanding of Retail process, procedures and tools with proven experience in improving them
  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
  • Experience in productivity evaluation and improvement
  • Knowledge of the commercial and operational factors which influence and impact the running of a retail business
  • Ability to realise attention to detail whilst maintaining the bigger picture
  • Ability to work independently at a distance while being a strong team player
  • Evidence of excellent influencing & collaboration skills
  • Experience managing a retail store preferred, but not required
  • Experience of working with different cultures and cross department

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
