Senior Finance Officer - Growing Academy Trust - West Birmingham - £26,000 - £31,000
Your new company
Working as part of the Trust's Finance Central team and responsible to the Principal Accountant, the post holder will be expected to ensure that income, expenditure and key control account reconciliations are processed in a timely manner and that the line manager is supported in the provision of the wider financial management and reporting requirements within the Academy Trust.
Your new role will include (but not be subject to) the duties below:
You will be expected to provide effective support towards their year-end processes.
You will be required to ensure that the day-to-day invoice and purchase order processing functions are carried out.
You will be required to support the Principal Accountant to ensure that accounting system administration duties are carried out on a regular basis.
Maintain a record of changes to the nominal ledger coding and structure.
Processing any other nominal ledger journals as directed.
Provide Budget Holder's with spending reports and support the line manager in the implementation and ongoing delivery of a self-service process.
Prepare monthly bank account reconciliation for authorisation.
Provide budget holders with spending reports.
Support the line manager as directed in the preparation/distribution of the monthly management accounts and statutory accounts.
What you'll need to succeed
You must be AAT qualified
Have 2 years + experience working in a similar finance environment.
PS Financials experience is desirable.
