End of Life Care Educator/Clinical Skills Lead

St Luke’s Hospice Band 7 – £32,061 - £41,537 pa, pro-rata (depending on qualifications & experience)

30 hours per week.

We are seeking an enthusiastic and highly motivated Registered Health Care Professional to join St Luke’s progressive education and development department. The successful candidate will lead and manage a team responsible for developing, delivering and assessing clinical and end of life care education. Achieved by facilitating and empowering staff within St Luke’s Hospice and the wider health and social care community to deliver best end of life care to patients and carers, using nationally recognised end of life frameworks and evidenced based practice.

Key responsibilities of the role will be to develop specialist education to support a wide range of health and social care professionals to provide good end of life care and to lead the clinical skills development of hospice and other staff. Other responsibilities include working closely with universities and service managers to deliver specialist Degree and Master’s Pathways of development including academic marking, tutor support etc.

Applicants should be an experienced registered Nurse / Allied Health Professional with relevant post registration experience. You will be educated to degree level and working towards a Master’s Degree. You will need a post graduate teaching qualification (or equivalent) and have considerable clinical experience within a teaching / educative / training role.
