Summary

We are seeking an experienced Software Engineer with significant knowledge of building and running Artificial Intelligence models in a practical / commercial setting. Your responsibilities will include:

Designing, developing and deploying innovative AI algorithms
Working with large, real-time dynamic data sets, in cross functional groups
Building NLP pipelines and models, which range from linear models to state-of-the-art neural networks
Refactoring code into reusable libraries, APIs and tools
Performing complex application programming activities, coding, testing, implementing and documenting solutions
Troubleshooting and debugging services in all stages of the development cycle, from development to production
Developing metrics to validate the performance of the developed algorithms and benchmarking these
Bringing innovative ideas through the use of cutting-edge technologies
Executing data analysis on available data for business improvement
Creating pipelines for more efficient and repeatable data science projects
Helping us to shape the next generation of our products

The successful candidate will demonstrate a track record in Artificial Intelligence, and should be current with latest algorithms and methods and be able to share knowledge with colleagues in data science and technology. Skills & experience required:

BSc, MSc, or PhD in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent experience in another quantitative field
Strong understanding of AI techniques and algorithms
Knowledge of NLP technologies
Hands-on experience in designing, building, and evaluating predictive models
Proficiency in Python / Java / C++
Understanding of natural language processing techniques
Knowledge of text processing, information extraction, knowledge graphs, ontologies
Experience building and deploying products that include a web-based user interface
Proficiency in SQL
Solid knowledge of testing frameworks and libraries
Curiosity about new developments in AI and machine learning
Knowledge of numerical optimisation techniques, statistics, ML algorithms and neural network architectures
Strong background in Linear Algebra, Statistics and Numerical Mathematics
Familiarity with cloud environments
Deep knowledge of parallel and distributed computing
Solid problem solving, critical thinking, creativity, organizational, and communication skills
An excellent team player attitude and ability to interact with all levels of engineers and non-technical colleagues

We will be offering a salary of £65k - £70k for this position, dependent on experience. The closing date is 17 August.
