Energy Manager

Salary: £35.000 - £40.000

Location: Leicester / Frequent travel across the UK and Ireland

Serco Leisure are currently seeking to recruit an experienced Energy Manger to drive the delivery of energy reduction programmes while harnessing established energy management techniques. Serco Leisure comprises of over 50 sites across UK and Ireland, predominantly operated as Trusts. You will be required to travel frequently across site in the UK & Ireland.

What we are looking for:

  • Leading, maintaining and implementing the Leisure Energy Management System and driving continual improvement

  • Retaining certification to the ISO 50001:2018 standard supported by Leisure Energy Team and Energy, Environmental & Sustainability team

  • Collaboration with Technical and Operational staff

  • Leading a central energy team across the Leisure Business

  • Management of energy data through Automatic Monitoring & Targeting and energy bureau platforms

  • Provision of guidance and leadership on BMS control strategies

  • Reporting on energy management performance against internal consumption reduction targets into Technical and Operational leadership

  • Supporting energy awareness / behavioral change / communications programme (s)

  • Networking to identify and shape energy management opportunities through innovation, technology advancements and funding schemes

  • Input into bids

Essential experience to be successful in the position:

  • Vastly experienced in energy management techniques

  • Ability to deliver energy management strategy, systems and programmes across large portfolios

  • Experience in the delivery of ISO 5001 EnMS operations

  • Knowledge of HVAC design, operation and maintenance

  • Knowledge of BMS, commissioning, control strategies and operation

  • Experience of conducting energy audits and reviews

  • Monitoring and verification

  • Report writing

  • Ability to communicate with technical, operations teams and wider business stakeholders
