Healthcare Assistant - Band 3

An opportunity has arisen for a Healthcare Assistant to work within the Rehabilitation Centre Nursing team. We support patients in their rehabilitation following surgery, accidents, strokes etc. promoting them to become as independent as possible.

The Rehabilitation Centre team comprises of Band 6 Nurses, Band 5 Nurses and Healthcare Assistants, administrators all working alongside Bristol City Council staff and an Integrated Multidisciplinary team of physios and OTs.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Health Care Assistant committed to delivering patient care to join our community team in rehabilitation centres at South Bristol (Knowle) and East Bristol (St George) for full or part time hours.

Within the rehabilitation centres you will work under direction of trained nurses and also autonomously and collaboratively within a supportive team.

You will need good communication skills and be required to use electronic patient record systems.

Previous community experience is desirable but not essential.

As a Health Care Assistant you will be expected to undertake training to develop skills and competencies for this role.

As a Band 3 Health care Assistant you will be expected to work and travel across both centres, South Bristol (Knowle), and East Bristol (St George).

You will be expected to work regular Weekends and Bank Holidays on a rota covering the hours of 08:00 to 18:00.

You will need access to a reliable car and a full driving licence.
