The Emergency Department Information Technology (ED IT) team are looking to recruit a dynamic enthusiastic member of staff to join the team maintaining ED IT Data & Systems and supporting data collection for Trauma Audit Research Network (TARN) database. This role will work closely with other team members, situated primarily on the PRUH site in the Emergency Department (ED).
Successful applicant will be part of a team which is key in collecting, validating and producing necessary data which is required to a strict timetable, this includes daily performance data. Also entering complex clinical data into systems, including the Trauma Audit Research Network (TARN) database. Liaising with Consultants, Nursing and associated clinical teams, all within a strict time frame. Being first line contact for the maintenance of IT systems and hardware in the Emergency Department.
We are looking for a well-organised team-player with excellent verbal and written communication skills. You should be highly computer literate, as well as have high level experience of designing, interrogating and maintaining excel spreadsheets and databases. Being able to provide first line technical support to departmental staff, with experience in diagnosis of computer hardware and software issues.
You should be able to demonstrate that you can remain calm under pressure and have excellent problem solving skills, an eye for detail and thorough understanding of the importance of good data quality. Previous NHS IT data systems experience is essential and having an ED focus would be an advantage.
We are looking to recruit a full-time position working Monday – Friday within core working hours 8 am to 4pm / 9 am to 5 pm on a rotational basis. Based at PRUH Emergency Department, but with cross-site flexibility.
