2gether NHS Trust provides a comprehensive Recovery Inpatient Service to support individuals recovering from severe and enduring Mental Illness. Working on a 3 stage recovery model, the final stage of promoting independence and resettling in the community is vital to achieve successful outcomes for the individual.

The role of Social Worker is essential to facilitate this, assessing social care needs, preparing funding applications, identifying potential placements and supporting all aspects of discharge.

Providing a countywide resource for Gloucestershire, Recovery Inpatient services are split between 2 units, Honeybourne and Laurel House, providing 23 inpatient beds, working to the same operational policies. Both units are on the same site in Cheltenham, with the post split equally. The hours of working have a degree of flexibility over the week.

Clinical and Managerial supervision will be provided from social care specialist and unit managers. The expectation is that the successful candidate will be highly motivated, organised and able to work independently, whilst being an important member of the multidisciplinary team.
