Summary

IMMEDIATE STARTS FOR EXPERIENCED SUPPORT WORKERS - Our client in the Mansfield Area is seeking experienced Support Workers to work within their lovely Care Home supporting their regular care staff in providing a high standard of care. This care home has the facilities for 20 residents and specialises in supporting individuals with Mental Health Problems and Learning Difficulties, promoting independent living skills.

As an experienced Support Worker it is desirable that you have experience of dealing with clients with Mental Health Problems and various Learning Difficulties. You will be assisting them in their activities of daily living to stimulate and improve their quality of life. You will be required to work on a one to one basis with specific residents and will take part in activities outside of the home itself with the support from the established team of Carers.

You will be expected to work alongside the established team of Carers in providing a complex care package tailored to individual needs. We require our Support Workers to have sound qualifications in Health and Social Care with all your relevant mandatory training being relevant and up to date. This role is both physically and mentally demanding so you must have relevant care experience.


• NVQ LVL 2 as a minimum, OR time served with checkable work history
• Up to date Mandatory training documents in Safeguarding, Infection control, Moving & Handling and Hoist Training as a bare minimum or be prepared to do further training
• Up to date DBS/ CRB check for adult services, preferably on the update service but not essential.


As with all our vacancies this has the potential to go from a temporary to a permanent role for successful candidates.

This service is staffed 24 hours per day but they are looking for Carers to work Afternoon shifts starting at 1415 hrs to 2215 hrs. There are other shifts available on request. Weekend support is also required and will be paid at a premium.

The rate of pay for this role is £8.50 to £11.10 an hour depending on shift worked.
