Summary
Overview
This role sits within the Accounts and Payroll team and will have the following responsibilities:
Responsibilities
Day to day running of the sales ledger
Day to day running of the purchase ledger
Credit control function
Reconcillliation of supplier statements
Banking cash and cheques when necessary
Maintaining the cash book and reconciling on a weekly basis
Preparation of weekly payroll on Sage
Assisting with monitoring the time and attendance system
Liaising with Customers and Suppliers as necessary
Other finance duties as and when required
Assist the Finance Manager and Finance Director in maintaining the Company's financial systems.
As Finance Assistant you will be responsible for the day to day tasks that are essential in preparing and maintaining timely and accurate financial reporting. The role will be an integral part of the finance team and we are inviting focused individuals with the appropriate experience and personal qualities to apply.
Skills required:
Basic accounting skills and previous experience in an accounts role
Strong numerical and analytical skills
Experience operating payroll systems
Good written and verbal English
Accuracy and attention to detail
Proficient in MS Office, in particular excel
Good timekeeping and organisational skills
