We are seeking a talented and experienced UI/UX Designer to completely redesign and modernize our existing Android application.The app is already fully built and functional. Your primary mission will be to elevate the overall user experience, visual identity, navigation flow, usability, and conversion performance—all while maintaining the existing core functionality.In this role, you will audit the current live app, pinpoint friction points, map out streamlined user journeys, and produce a polished, modern, and professional mobile interface that strictly aligns with current Android design standards and best practices.
Key Responsibilities
Audit & Analyze: Evaluate the existing Android application and identify clear areas for UX/UI improvements.
User Journeys: Redesign app screens, navigation flows, and onboarding experiences to maximize engagement and user retention.
Design & Prototype: Create low-fidelity wireframes, interactive prototypes, and high-fidelity UI designs.
Standardization: Build out a cohesive mobile design system, style guidelines, and reusable components.
Collaboration: Prepare developer-ready assets in Figma and work closely with our engineering team during the implementation phase.
Required Skills & Experience
Android Expertise: A strong, proven portfolio showcasing native Android mobile app design projects (Material Design).
Tooling: Expert-level proficiency with Figma.
App Redesign: Demonstrated experience taking an existing, functional application and successfully modernizing its UI/UX.
UX Fundamentals: Ability to simplify complex workflows, reduce user friction, and design highly intuitive mobile interfaces.
Detail-Oriented: Exceptional attention to typography, spacing, visual hierarchy, and clean asset organization.
Desirable "Nice-to-Haves"
Experience designing high-traffic, consumer-facing mobile applications.
Proven track record of improving app engagement, onboarding completion, and conversion rates.
Experience thriving in agile, fast-moving startup environments.
