About the Role

Are you passionate about transforming young lives through movement, connection and creativity? Do you believe PE can be a powerful tool for emotional regulation, confidence-building and joy — not just sport?

If so, you might be the perfect fit for our team at 3 Dimensions School – Hummingbird Site, where every day is an opportunity to make a meaningful difference.

We are looking for an energetic, compassionate and adaptable PE Teacher/Tutor to deliver engaging, therapeutic and inclusive physical education sessions for students with a range of Special Educational Needs (SEN), including ASD, SEMH, ADHD, trauma profiles and sensory processing differences.

This is not a traditional PE role. It’s about meeting students where they are, celebrating small steps, and using movement as a pathway to wellbeing, confidence and connection.

What You’ll Do

Plan and deliver creative, differentiated and therapeutic PE sessions that meet individual SEN needs and EHCP outcomes
Promote physical fitness, emotional regulation, teamwork and individual skill development through varied activities
Use inclusive, structured and sensory-informed approaches to ensure every student can access and enjoy PE
Build positive, trusting relationships and support emotional wellbeing through movement and restorative practice
Lead or support outdoor learning, sports events and enrichment activities that build confidence and resilience
Track engagement and progress using small-step SEN-appropriate assessment and provide supportive feedback
Ensure safe practice, follow risk assessments and uphold safeguarding responsibilities at all times
Work collaboratively with staff, contribute to EHCP reviews and engage in ongoing CPD and whole-school wellbeing initiatives
Who We’re Looking For

Essential

PE, sport or coaching qualification degree level required
Experience delivering PE, sport or physical activity sessions
Ability to engage and motivate young people with diverse needs
Strong behaviour management and relationship-building skills
Understanding of inclusive practice and adapting activities
Driving licence required
Desirable

Experience in SEN or alternative provision
Knowledge of trauma-informed or therapeutic approaches
