Summary
Our Strathbungo Supported Living Service offers an engaging and dynamic work environment where each day brings unique experiences. We are a dedicated team, committed to delivering exceptional person-centred care to six individuals who are primarily deafblind and have diverse, complex support needs, some of whom may not communicate verbally.
Who do we support
At our Strathbungo service, we support four vibrant females, aged between 30 and 60, and 2 outgoing males. 4 individuals have their own flats and two share a flat in the Strathbungo area in Glasgow. They have various health conditions, including epilepsy, deaf-blindness, and mobility issues. Although they live independently, they all stay in the ground floor of a block of flats.
• Support within their own homes with personal care, housework, administering medication, meal preparation, support with finances companionship etc
• Record daily tasks and maintain accurate records
• Work as part of a team, effectively communicating with the staff team, families, and people supported.
What’s the shift pattern
Our Strathbungo service provides round-the-clock support every day of the year.
As a Female Support Worker*, you can be contracted up to 37 hours per week which means you will be required to work 23 shifts over the month therefore some weekend work is required.
Shifts include a mix of early shifts (07:30 – 14:30) and late shifts (14:30 – 21:30) with a requirement for some sleepover duties (paid at normal rate).
