Summary
The Royal Free London NHS Foundation Trust is committed to meeting the national targets within the 18 week referral to treatment pathway and providing a first class service to patients. To facilitate these aims, the co-ordinator will be responsible for ensuring that the principles of the 18 week target are embedded within the processes employed at every stage. These principles will govern best practice.
The post holder will be expected to work as part of the maxillofacial team and will build
relationships with key staff providing an efficient, reliable service for patients in all
specialities to ensure that these separate elements unite and are working as one team
with a common goal. It is important that the waiting list coordinators function as a team,
supporting each other with workloads. The post holder must be flexible in their
approach and be able to work within the department’s shift pattern and within all
specialties covered by admissions, providing cover as required.
