Summary
Successful applicants will be invited to attend an Selection day at Carew House, Bodmin on 24th July 2026. This will be a morning or afternoon to be confirmed.
We are looking for caring, compassionate and motivated individuals to join our Mental Health Inpatient Services as Healthcare Assistants across a range of specialist settings, including Forensic, Psychiatric Intensive Care (PICU), Acute, Rehabilitation, Children Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS), Dementia Older People and Place of Safety units.
This is a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference to people’s lives by supporting individuals during some of their most challenging times.
This role involves working shifts across a 24-hour period, including:
• Long days
• Nights
• Twilight shifts
• Weekends and bank holiday

Please note that appointments will only be made to wards/units where vacancies are available. Preferences will be discussed at interview, however allocation will be based on both candidate suitability and service requirements.
To Support the delivery of care needs by carrying out assigned tasks involving direct care under the supervision of a registered nurse.
To contribute to the evaluation of programmes of care by reporting to the clinical supervisor.
As part of a team, provide high quality mental health care to the service users to promote recovery. To do all the above in a manner that maintains safety for all. To assist in service and good practice developments.
