Summary
We are looking for a warm, friendly and reliable female Personal Assistant to support a sociable and family-oriented lady living in Motherwell. She is chatty, bubbly and enjoys keeping connected with family, spending time with her grandchildren and helping others. Occasionally, she enjoys going shopping and going to the football. This is a person-centred role focused on supporting her to maintain her independence, dignity and daily routines in a way that reflects what matters most to her.
About the Role
She has MS and the role involves providing respectful and person-led support with daily living and personal care. This includes assisting with dressing, personal care, toileting, food preparation, and helping her access family activities and community opportunities when she feels up to it. Support may also include safe use of equipment such as a hoist and motorised wheelchair.
• Provide person-centred support that promotes independence, choice and dignity
• Assist with personal care, including dressing, toileting and showering support
• Support with food preparation and daily routines
• Support with everyday tasks including light cleaning and laundry
• Use equipment safely, including a hoist, following guidance and training
• Support access to family life, including time with grandchildren and community activities
• Drive as required to support family-related commitments and outings
Who We’re Looking For
The ideal Personal Assistant will be respectful, kind, empathetic and dependable, with a warm and bubbly nature. They should enjoy conversation, value family life, and feel comfortable supporting someone whose grandchildren are an important part of daily life. A caring attitude is essential, and while previous experience is helpful, it is not necessary as training can be provided.
• Female applicants only – this is a genuine occupational requirement in accordance with Schedule 9, Part 1 of the Equality Act 2010, due to the personal care responsibilities of the role
• Driver essential
• Non-smoker required
• Friendly, chatty and respectful approach
• Able to support with dignity and sensitivity
• Training will be provided in hoist use, toileting support and manual handling if required

Variable (approximately 5 hours per shift)
Days and Times:
Flexible and to be discussed with the employer at interview
Rate of pay: £15.00 per hour
