Summary

Job Title Domiciliary Support Worker Responsible To Registered Manager Location Community-based across Kettering, Corby, Rothwell, Desborough and surrounding areas. Hours Full-time and part-time hours available. Job Purpose To provide high-quality, person-centred care and support to individuals within their own homes, enabling them to maintain their independence, dignity, choice and quality of life. The post holder will deliver compassionate and responsive support tailored to each individual's needs, promoting physical, emotional and social wellbeing while ensuring that care is delivered safely and in accordance with agreed care plans, company policies and regulatory requirements. Key ResponsibilitiesPersonal Care Assist individuals with personal care needs, including washing, bathing, dressing, grooming and toileting. Support individuals with mobility and transferring safely, using equipment where required and following moving and handling guidance. Promote dignity, privacy and independence at all times. Daily Living Support Assist with meal preparation, nutrition and hydration. Support individuals with household tasks including light cleaning, laundry and maintaining a safe environment. Assist with shopping and other day-to-day activities as required. Medication Support Support individuals with medication in accordance with company policies, training and care plans. Accurately record medication support provided and report any concerns. Emotional Wellbeing and Companionship Build positive and professional relationships with the people you support. Provide companionship and emotional support to reduce loneliness and social isolation. Encourage participation in hobbies, interests and social activities. Community Support Support individuals to attend appointments, access community services and participate in activities that promote independence and wellbeing. Encourage service users to maintain social connections and community involvement. Record Keeping and Communication Maintain accurate, timely and confidential records of care provided. Report changes in health, wellbeing or circumstances to the appropriate manager. Communicate effectively with colleagues, healthcare professionals, families and other relevant parties. Safeguarding and Health & Safety Recognise and report safeguarding concerns in line with company procedures. Follow all health and safety policies and procedures. Maintain infection prevention and control standards. Work in accordance with the Care Quality Commission (CQC) standards and relevant legislation. Professional Responsibilities Attend mandatory training and participate in ongoing learning and development. Maintain professional boundaries at all times. Demonstrate reliability, flexibility and a positive attitude. Promote equality, diversity and inclusion in all aspects of work. Represent Magenta Care professionally within the community. General Duties The post holder may be required to undertake other reasonable duties consistent with the nature and level of the role, as requested by the Registered Manager or other authorised manager.
