Essential
• Proven track record of outstanding Media teaching
• Knowledge and understanding of the curriculum requirements for the subject
• Experience of teaching Media at Key Stage 4 and 5
• Proven track record of strong and effective behaviour management strategies
• Excellent ICT skills
• Ability to analyse data and use it purposefully to inform planning in order to have a positive impact on student outcomes
• Creativity, energy and enthusiasm
• Evidence of working effectively under pressure
Desirable
• Experience of teaching IT at Key Stage 3 and 4
• Experience of teaching IT at Key Stage 5
• Experience of being, or willingness to be, an examination marker now or in the future

Further details about the role
We are primarily looking for an applicant who can teach Media at both KS4 and KS5, experience of BTEC preferred. A full-time applicant would ideally be able to teach a second subject such as KS3 Computing and/or KS4 IT or PSHE.
